Tumor

A solitary deformed cell exists

dormant and patient

it waits for a preordained trigger call to germination,

dreadful metastatic being.

 

No wasted time

cells multiply endlessly

without remorse or thought

continuous relentless fate.

 

Health and strength fade

takes all life

host’s death is its purpose.

 

Succumbing only to the knife

chemicals or deadly rays,

the tumor expunged.

 

Vitality and hope victorious.
